To provide the most current cancer statistics, statistical methods are used to estimate the number of new cancer cases and deaths until actual data become available.
Incidence and mortality @(Model.HeadingTag)>
Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.
In 2020, an estimated:
- 6,900 Canadians will be diagnosed with leukemia.
- 3,000 Canadians will die from leukemia.
- 4,100 men will be diagnosed with leukemia and 1,800 will die from it.
- 2,800 women will be diagnosed with leukemia and 1,250 will die from it.
