Incidence and mortality

Incidence is the total number of new cases of cancer. Mortality is the number of deaths due to cancer.

The most recent incidence statistics for CML are from 2018:

  • 585 Canadians were diagnosed with CML.
  • 360 men were diagnosed with CML.
  • 225 women were diagnosed with CML.
The most recent mortality statistics for CML are from 2020:
  • 124 Canadians died from CML.
  • 70 men died from CML.
  • 54 women died from CML.
