A type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (specifically cutaneous T-cell lymphoma) that is characterized by the presence of Sezary cells in the blood. Sezary cells are large abnormal T cells (a type of white blood cell that helps control immune response, fight infection and destroy abnormal cells).
Sezary syndrome is an advanced form of mycosis fungoides.
