Gamma Knife

Description

A machine used in stereotactic radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation by precisely aiming gamma rays at the tumour from many different angles at once.

Gamma Knife is usually used for head and neck tumours because it can deliver radiation to a very specific area so that very little normal tissue is exposed to radiation.
