Introducing Cancer Trials Canada

For people affected by cancer in Canada, clinical trials can offer hope. Hope for bold, new research discoveries that could better prevent, find, treat and care for people facing cancer.

But finding information about cancer trials in Canada is difficult. Information is often fragmented, out of date, and scientific language can make it difficult for patients and caregivers to understand.

That’s why the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) and the Quebec – Clinical Research Organization in Cancer (Q-CROC) have collaborated to launch a new, national website that provides clear, up-to-date cancer clinical trial information: Cancer Trials Canada!

Now there is one convenient place where people facing cancer can turn for information about cancer clinical trials for adults in Canada.

We’re here to help because no one should feel overwhelmed when considering clinical trials.

Our trained experts at CCS’s Cancer Information Helpline, or Q-CROC’s Onco+ for Quebec residents, can help answer your questions and help you navigate the Cancer Trials Canada site.

The Cancer Information Helpline can also provide information about other support services such as lodging, transportation, and community-based cancer services.

The time after a cancer diagnosis is overwhelming. I knew trials were happening globally and I was eager to join one in Canada. I was fortunate to find an oncologist starting a trial I was eligible for. The new Cancer Trials Canada website makes it easier for patients to find trials that may help. If it had existed when I was diagnosed, it would’ve made a difficult time much easier to navigate.
