Pay tribute to a loved one in these thoughtful ways

A person has their arm around their partner and they are both seated on a couch.

Cancer can change everything for the ones we love. When words are hard to find and a gift can’t express how you feel, you can show your support in ways that will make a difference for people facing cancer. We’re sharing 3 meaningful actions to honour or commemorate a loved one.

1. Donate in their honour

When a loved one is navigating a diagnosis or celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday, or being cancer-free, we all want to show our support. Donating in their honour and sending a card is a thoughtful way to show you care, and it makes an impact for people facing cancer.

2. Donate in their memory

In lieu of flowers, making a donation in their memory will have a lasting impact on people facing cancer today. When you dedicate your donation, you can send a card to the family to let them know they are in your heart.

3. Hold a fundraising event

Whether it’s a classic sports tournament, a bike ride or a head-shave, you can raise funds for the cancer cause in honour of a loved one’s cancer journey or in memory of someone close to your heart. Share their story and rally your community when you register your event.
