Pre-announcement: CCS Emerging Scholar Research Grants

CCS Emerging Scholar Research Grants

The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) has identified the next generation of cancer researchers as a critical component to sustain research progress and drive innovation. To support this, CCS will be re-launching research grants for early career researchers. The CCS Emerging Scholar Research Grants will seek to build capacity in the cancer research ecosystem by funding competitive, scientifically excellent applications from across Canada.

Anticipated launch date: February/March 2023

Objective

The Emerging Scholar Research Grants aim to support the establishment of promising early career investigators from across Canada. The Research Grants will advance cancer research spanning all pillars of research (biomedical; clinical; health services; and social, cultural, environmental & population health).

  • CCS aims to fund at least one highly-rated emerging scholar from each province across Canada.
