In 2023, CIBC contributed $66 million to 3,800 charities, non-profits, and community organizations globally, helping them deliver timely, much-needed programs and services. Throughout the year, CIBC employees and retirees across Canada volunteered more than 122,000 hours of their time to related causes. Employee fundraising and giving generated $21 million for various campaigns including $2.67 million raised in support of the 2023 Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. The Run is the country's largest single-day, volunteer-led event in support of the breast cancer cause, and Team CIBC has raised more than $62 million since becoming title sponsor of the event 28 years ago.
