We are pleased to announce the results of the most recent research grant competition. The following is a listing of newly awarded Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) Research Grants and Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) New Investigator Grants.

Out of a total of 286 CCS grant applications:

    • 52 Canadian Cancer Society research grants have been approved. To achieve this level of funding, the following budget reductions were made: 4% to renewal applications, 6% to initial and reapplications. All grants have been awarded to a maximum term of 3 years.

Please note:

  • Amounts listed below represent the total dollars awarded by grant year and may include funds for salaries, supplies, and/or New Investigator equipment.
  • Amounts indicated below do not include allowances for conference travel which will not be added subsequently.
  • The start date for these grants is July 1, 2011.
    • Only the principal investigator is named in this listing. Co-Applicants and/or Additional Authors may also be associated with these grants.
